Brief History

The National Cadet Corps is headed by a Director General, an Army Officer of the rank of Lieutenant General, who is responsible for the functioning of the National Cadet Corps in the country through the parade. National Cadet Corps Headquarters situated at Delhi. At the State Level, the country has been divided into 16 Directorates covering all States and Union Territories. Each of the State National Cadet Corps Directorate Headquarters controls two to fourteen Group Headquarters. While Directorates are commanded by Brigadiers or their equivalents, the Groups are commanded by Colonels or equivalents from the Air Force and the Navy, N.C.C. Units are commanded by Major/Lieutenant Colonel or their equivalents.

The department of National Cadets Crops ( N.C.C. ) started with the intention of providing guidance and infrastructure for college students. “ Health is wealth “ is the motto of the  department. The department believes that a sound mind resides in sound body.

That is why the department is striving for the students to keep their body and mind healthy. So the students in rural background should get N.C.C. Army  unit  facility hence Dnyaneshvar Gramonnati Mandals Hon. B. J. Arts ,Com & Science College, Ale and n c c Department in the year 2002 2003

    3. Form should dully sign by ANO and Principal of the Institute.

In our college girls NCC (SW) raised in 2006 from open unit of 2 Mah. Girls Bn, Pune. It  was sanctioned officially from 2010-11 by the great efforts of DGM Management Committee and Principal of the college. The SW strength is 50 cadets and SD strength is 50 cadets. It is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi. NCC day is celebrated on 24 Nov. in all over India in last week of November month. It is a triservices organization comprising Army, Navy and Air Force in grooming the youth of    the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. Enrolment of the students in this activity is in voluntary basis.

                                    “Unity and Discipline” as motto for the NCC.

It is one of the greatest cohesive forces of the nation, bringing together the youth hailing   from different parts of the country and moulding them into united, secular and disciplined citizens of the nation.

            The Aims of the NCC:  Developing discipline, character, and brotherhood, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens.

To enlighten leadership qualities among the youth who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. It also motivates them to choose a career in armed forces.

            NCC Flag:

The three colours in the flag depict the three services in the Corps, red for Army, deep blue for Navy and light blue for the Air Force. The letters NCC and the NCC crest in gold in the middle of the flag encircled by a wreath of lotus, give the flag a colourful look and a distinct identity. Each lotus represents one NCC Directorate (total 17 Dte).

The two dots represent Officer Training Academy’s in India they are at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh (Women) and Kamptee, Maharashtra. Kanpur (Gents).

            NCC song “Ham Sabh Bhartiya Hain” – is written by Sudarshan Faakir. The song was getting succeeded to catch the Young ones mind and their imagination.

            Eligibility and Training: The students after class 10 & those studying for +2, +3 (degree). Total training period for SD and SW is 3 years with an extension of 1 year permissible.

  1. Every cadet of the Senior or Junior Division has to undergo service training for a period of at least 4 hours per week during the training year.
  2. No training is carried out during periods when the college or school through which a cadet is enrolled is closed for a vacation.
  3. Every cadet of the Senior and Junior Division has undergone service training for a minimum period of 75% of total hours during the annual college and school session.
  4. Every cadet who has completed one full year of training and is in his second year attends an annual training camp of 9–10 days, also known as National Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC). At the end of the camp training the cadets receive a certificate of successful completion.

Certificates & Examination:

Certificate – B: In the second year of training the candidate must have attended a min. 75% of total training periods, must have attended one Annual Training Camp/NIC. Certificate – C: Those having B certificate, attended two ATCs or one ATC, RD Camp Delhi, Centrally Organized Camp, Para Training Camp, Attachment Training with service units, National Integration Camp, Youth Exchange Programme

Grading is based on total marks obtained in theory and practical examination of B & C certificate will be awarded as follows.

Grading ‘A’ – Cadets obtaining 80% marks and above.

Grading ‘B’ – Cadets obtaining 65% marks and above but below 80%.

Grading ‘C’ – Cadets obtaining 50% marks and above but below 65%.

Fail – Cadets obtaining less than 45% in any paper or less than 50% in aggregate.

Especial Achievements of cadets:

  • SUO Ashwini Shankar Thombare(2013-14) participated in Republican Day Parade held at New Delhi. She was awarded by DG Recommendation Card. This was very brilliant achievements. During the camp She had done piloting for Prime Minister, Raksha Mantri, Cabinet Ministers, Chief Minister of Delhi, three Service Chiefs and various State Ministers/VIPs and
  • SUO Pooja Shinde (2015) completed trekking camp held at Manila (15000 feet) with A Grade and also qualified to advanced camp for that.
  • SGT Rutika Dawkhar was selected for special National Integration Program @ Port Blair.
  • SGT Ankita Nimse was selected for Rock Climbing & Trekking Camp @ Gwalior.
